Materials:
- Any worsted weight yarn (#4)
- (1 square – Color A (multi [25 yds],
- Color B (White) [10 yds], Color C (brown) [15 yds]
- Hook: G / 4.00 mm
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Square size: 5 ½”
Abbreviations: (US terms)
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch
(number) – number of stitches or petals at end of round
(…) – stitch pattern to be repeated
*…* – stitch pattern to be repeated
Notes:
- Read directions fully before starting to crochet.
- Count stitches regularly.
- Blocking is optional.
- Beginning chain counts as a stitch unless stated differently.
Instructions
Ch 5 with Color A, join with sl st to form ring.
- Ch 3, dc in ring, ch 1, 2 dc in ring, ch 3, *2 dc in ring, ch 1, 2 dc in ring, ch 3, repeat * 3 times, join with sl st to beginning chain 3. Fasten off.

2. Attach Color B with sl st to ch-1 space, ch 5, dc in same space, *(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-3 space, [dc, ch 2, dc] in ch-1 space, repeat * 3 times, join with sl st to beginning chain 3.
Fasten off. (4 corners made)

3. Attach Color C with sl st to ch-2 space, ch 3, 4 dc in ch-2 space, *(4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) in corner space, 5 dc in next ch-2 space, repeat * 3 times, (4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) in corner space, join with sl st to beginning chain. Fasten off. (13 dc on each side and 3 ch in each corner)

4. Attach Color A with sl st to any dc, ch 3, dc in each st and chain space around with 3 dc in each corner, join with sl st to beginning chain. Fasten off. (13 dc on each side and 3 dc in each corner = total 64 dc)
