Crochet Cat Keychain Pattern

Add this cute cat keychain to your backpack or purse. Crochet two cats, glue them together, add a bow and keyring and you have a keychain to use or gift for cat lovers. This crochet pattern is beginner friendly and requires just a small amount of yarn.

Worsted yarn (small amount)

F/4mm hook

Fabric glue or glue gun

Ribbon or bow (optional)

Keyring

Size 3 1/2″ not including tail or keyring

Ch – chain

Sc – single crochet

Hdc – half double crochet

Dc – double crochet

Tr – treble crochet

Sl st – slip stitch

Special Stitch

Picot – chain 4, sl st in 1^st ch

Body (make 2)

Ch 4, join

Step 1: ch 13, tr in 6^th ch from hook, tr in next 3 st, dc in next 2, hdc, sc

Step 2: sc in ring, ch 2, 2 dc, picot (ear made), 3 dc in ring, picot, 2 dc, ch 2, sc

Step 3: sc in next st, hdc, 2 dc, 3 tr, ch 4, sl st in ring, pull ring tight to close hole

Add tail or fasten off.

Tail (add tail to one piece)

Ch 10, sl st in 2^nd ch from hook and next 8 ch, sl st to body

Fasten off and weave in ends

Finishing

1. Spread glue on wrong side of one piece
2. Place 2 wrong sides together and let dry
3. Add ribbon to front of cat
4. Add keyring
