Welcome to Crochet Bags & More

My name is Kathy and welcome to Crochet Bags & More offering modern and classic designs. I’m here to share crocheting ideas and patterns with you. I’ve been crocheting forever – my grandmother and mother both crocheted so I naturally followed them. Over the years I have tried knitting, but found crocheting offered more creativity and less angst. When I am not crocheting, I’m reading, making greeting cards, sewing and trying new craft projects.

With the recent pandemic keeping me at home, I’ve done a LOT of crocheting. One day while making a tote bag I realized I seemed to always change the pattern or I would combine two or three patterns to make the item exactly what I wanted. So… the next step just seemed simple, start designing my own patterns. Since my lunch dates, bridge games and club meetings were all cancelled, I had plenty of time, too!

With simplicity in mind, I plan to share modern and classic patterns that most beginners can crochet. I might throw in a few crochet tips and ideas, a handmade birthday card, a great recipe or who knows what else.
