Crossing Lines Granny Square Crochet Pattern. Here is another modern looking granny square. The Crossing Lines Granny Square is easy to crochet and works up quickly due to the simple double crochet stitch, but you do need to pay attention to the color changes as indicated in the pattern.

Worsted weight #4 (Loops & Threads Impeccable, Navy and Soft Fern)
H/5mm hook
Tapestry needle
Skill level: Advanced beginner

Abbreviations (US terms)
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
ch-2 – chain 2
** – repeat stitches between * *
Notes:

Crossing Lines Granny Square Pattern
With Color A (green) , chain 4, join with sl st to 1st chain to form ring.
Round 1: Ch3, 2dc, ch 2 in the ring, *3 dc in ring, ch 2* Repeat * * 2 times. Slip stitch to beginning ch 3 and fasten off.

Round 2: Join Color B (blue) in any ch- 2 space (corner), ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the same ch-2 space. *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-2 space*. Repeat * * in next two ch-2 spaces. Slip stitch to ch 3 and fasten off.

Note: In the following rounds, you will be switching colors with a seamless color change and carrying the dropped yarns along the top of the rows
Round 3: Join Color A (green) in any ch-2 space. Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the same ch-2 space. Drop Color B (green) and *switch to Color B (blue), 3 dc in space between the two 3dc clusters. Drop Color A (blue) and switch to Color A (green), (3 dc. ch 2, 3 dc) into ch-2 space* Repeat ** 3 times.
