September 7, 2021 – in just a little over three months, Christmas will be here. Have you started crocheting your presents? The Sea Blue Keyhole Scarf crochet pattern is a quick and easy scarf that would look great in any color and make a lovely gift. Because the scarf works up quickly, crochet one for yourself, too!
What is a keyhole scarf? Usually a keyhole scarf is about 35″ long with an opening at one end where it fastens together — no more worries about losing your scarf!
A solid color yarn would bring out the stitch pattern and texture, but a variegated yarn would look great as well. Different yarns and colors will give the scarf a more formal or casual appearance.
I have seen keyhole scarves longer than 35″ and some not as wide as this one. The Sea Blue Keyhold Scarf measures 7 ½” x 35” and fits perfectly inside a coat or jacket. You can make the scarf longer by adding more rows before the ‘keyhole.’ You could get creative.
