Holiday Bazaar

For the past several years I have participated in a local holiday bazaar selling crocheted items. What to make and sell is always an issue for me. All year I collect pictures and patterns of things that I would like to make. Some I crochet and some not. Then a couple weeks just before the bazaar I will see two or three items I really want to make, but don’t have the time.

Below are pictures of some of the items I will have available at the bazaar this year. Some of the designs are my patterns and some not.

Gnome Towel Toppers – so much fun to crochet. The most difficult part is sewing on the button! The pattern from Nana’s Crafty Home calls for a single crochet, but I changed it to a half double crochet. A 3″ ring is in the hat to hold the towel. The craft stores in my area did not have 3″ plastic rings, so I ordered them online. The towel is a flour sack dish towel. I love these towels. My mother gave me a few flour sack towels many, many years ago and I still use them to dry dishes.

A few years back I saw a pattern for a flower that I thought would be a perfect car cup holder coaster. So I made a few for our cars – no more water or condensation drips and yuck in the cup holder.

Last year I crocheted these bags for the bazaar that was cancelled – you know, COVID….

And more towel toppers! I think buyers look for the top (handle or knob design) that they need and then look for a towel to go with their kitchen. What do you think? That PDF pattern for the cabinet door knob towel topper can be found on Ravelry.

Pumpkins for Thanksgiving decorating. The pattern for the Country Pumpkin is here.

Time for me to start packing my car for the bazaar.

Have a great weekend,
