Crochet hint – joining stitches at the end of a round
While looking at Pinterest this morning, I came across a picture of a crocheted circle with directions on where to join stitches at the end of a round. Years ago, before I knew better, I often ended a round by working a slip stitch into the chain stitch at the beginning of the round. The result was an awkward looking join. . . Crocheting and Preparing for Christmas
Crocheting and preparing for Christmas — In mid-July I posted an article about how I get ready for a craft fair and Christmas. I’d like to say I followed through with all my plans, but as I mentioned in the article, that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes life just gets in the way and plans get changed, dropped or just forgotten. The first task on my list was completed – to review my patterns to see what I hope to crochet this year. My stack of patterns is pretty much in the same spot on my desk as they were in July. I also mentioned I found a pattern for Thanksgiving…

Mini Word Game Stuffie Crochet Pattern
Mini Word Game Stuffie. Do you play or know someone who plays the word game, Wordle? I play it every morning – I’m addicted. ;’) According to Wikipedia, “Wordle is a web-based word game created and developed by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle. Players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word, with feedback given for each guess in the form of colored tiles indicating when letters match or occupy the correct position.” This Mini Word Game Stuffie pattern was inspired by the word game. The pattern is crocheted in single crochet stitches and requires a minimum of color changes. The vertical and horizontal lines are surface crochet slip stitches…
